MAMOFUTA VIVIAN CHELE

Professional experience and expertise

Mamofuta is deeply rooted and known for high-level professional development with substantial experience in research, human rights, migration and SRHR, labour conflict and mediation, baselines, workforce skills audit, and organizational development policy analysis, legal affairs, and human rights mediation, and has extensively researched and written on tales of change and issues affecting important populations in accessing HIV and sexual reproductive health and rights services.
She has extensively done assignments at both the national and regional levels in areas of Human Rights and policy reviews, migration and labour concerns, HIV&AIDS, research, and case management, monitoring and evaluation, health, gender and policy frameworks, on migration and the LGBTI community.

Mamofouta Kale Vivian – Chele is a well-known human rights, mediator, and labour expert who has worked with the Labour Appeal Court for more than five years, facilitated labour conferences both nationally and internationally. She is a policy analyst, human rights advocate, gender (GBV)specialist and trainer, HIV, sexual and reproductive health rights practitioner with over 15 years of progressive work on policy, labour, and migration. Through SAfAIDs, Mamofuta has collaborated with different organizations working on migration issues which include WLSA, IOM, Save the Children, Skillshare and Phelisanang Bophelong amongst others.

She is a skilled social facilitator with a high degree of trustworthiness in PRA techniques, which are critical in the execution of high-level research. Mamofuta is now working on her PhD. in Human Rights Protection, with a focus on minority rights. She has substantial government experience as well as high-level jobs with SAFAIDS, the International Organization for Migration, Save the Children, and UNFPA Lesotho.
